Laila (TIP)'s Story

Meet Laila.

Laila has been such a joy to have in our house!

She immediately adapted to her new Midwest life from her Southern beginnings. She loves all dogs and people that she meets, and greets all situations with a wagging tail.

After her arrival, Laila quickly decided our three schnauzers were her best friends. Even when they lose their patience with her she just walks away and finds a toy to play with instead. Toys are Lailas favorite activities. Balls, plush toys, and squeaky toys all find their way to Lailas mouth. She loves playing fetch but if you are not up to playing with her she will throw the toy in the air and play by herself!

Laila is house trained and leash trained. She does insist on sleeping in bed but she promises to lay near the foot of the bed. She may chew up a few toys but she understands that those are the only things okay to chew. She also requests a yard at her forever home that she can run in and play fetch in!

Ideally Laila would love a family with another dog so she can have a playmate! She promises to show off the barking she learned from the schnauzers to keep intruders and squirrels away. She would be thrilled with a child of her own to play with too.

Lailas forever family will be rewarded with eternal love and constant companionship (literally constant- bathroom doors do not shut when Laila is on watch) from an amazing dog!

Name: Laila
Sex: Female
Breed: Shepherd/ Pug mix
Age: approximately 1.5 years old (as of 1/26/14)
Weight: approximately 45 pounds (as of 2/9/15)
Heartworm: has been successfully treated for heartworm!
Spayed: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with kids: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown
Adoption donation: $200.00

Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $125.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter.
