Meet Lady, an 8-9 year old Rottweiler mix who was brought to SCAS by family of her owner, and efforts to reach them proved unsuccessful. She has now completed a mandatory stray hold and is on the search for her forever home.<br/><br/>This slightly overweight gal (she is on a diet and regular exercise will help this as well) is a true gem; she is both mindful of her people, independent and sure of what she wants and doesn't want, is housebroken, and walks relatively well on a leash. <br/><br/>Per her previous family, she has lived with a smaller dog and with time to acclimate has been fine with other pets; other dogs should come for a meet-and-greet at the shelter. She would do best with older kids, as a senior gal like her is over the exuberance of the littlest humans. <br/><br/>As Lady is not yet spayed, adoption is currently restricted to Stafford, King George, Spotsylvania, Prince William, Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, or the City of Fredericksburg. Her adoption fee is $45 and adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Picture ID/current address verification is required at the time of adoption.
