Kye Treeing Walker Coonhound & American Foxhound Mix Oakland, NJ

Kye came to us 12/29 however due to being shy and afraid of people, she was not ready for adoption at that time.
Kye has made HUGE progress in her foster home and is now showing us she is ready to be adopted.
A few things about Kye that should be known; although ready to find her potential family, she needs someone who is willing to give her time to settle in. She will not adjust over night, and it can honestly take a few weeks for her to fully trust her new people. Kye also absolutely adores other dogs and learns a lot from them, therefore in order for her to continue coming out of her shell, we are requiring she be in a home with another dog. Her foster home doesn't have any cats, but believes she would do just fine in a home that has them. Kye has been around young children and has done very well. She sleeps out at night, laying on a dog bed at the side of her foster. Potty training has taken a little longer since she was found as a stray and could go anywhere she pleased, she is now about 85% house trained but may still have an occasional accident (the other dogs help advise when it is time to go out). During the day while her fosters are at work, she is crated since she becomes bored and will find items to chew on.

For as much as her foster family loves her and would love to keep her themselves, they feel she deserves the opportunity to be loved by others as they already have 3 pups of their own.
