Koda's Story

Meet Koda!

Koda has the handsome looks of a German Shepherd with the fun-loving, athletic personality of a Husky! He is an active, affectionate boy who loves adventures just as much as he loves cuddling with his favorite people.

Koda is wonderful with people of all ages and absolutely adores children. If theres one thing to know about him, its that he is deeply devoted to his family. He thrives on human companionship and loves being part of everyday life.

When Koda first came to us, he lacked confidence and social skills around other dogs. After completing professional board-and-train with one of the areas top trainers, he has made incredible progress and now enjoys having canine friends.

Koda loves being outdoors, hiking, running, and exploring, but he also settles down nicely at home and is not an excessive barker. During walks, if unfamiliar dogs rush up to him, he may become a little nervous, but he handles these situations well. He is also continuing to work on some mild reactivity while crated in the car when dogs pass by. His trainer believes this behavior is more protective than aggressive, and Koda continues to improve.

Koda has a confident personality and can be a bit of a leader with other dogs. Because of this, he would do best with experienced adopters who understand how to provide structure and introduce dogs properly. He can absolutely live in a multi-dog home with slow, thoughtful introductions and appropriate management of resources such as food, toys, and attention. We also provide ongoing support from Kodas professional trainer to help ensure a successful transition.

Kodas trainer absolutely loves him and describes him as a fantastic dog with all the qualities of an amazing family companion. If youre looking for a loyal, intelligent, athletic best friend who will shower you with love and make you smile every day, Koda is ready to meet you!
