**We would love to talk to you about Kit Kat or any of our other available dogs but we first need everyone to go to our website and submit an adoption application.

Kit Kat’s Story: Kit Kat along with her two brothers are owner surrenders to JCCARE. We believe she was a show dog in previously and has been a mother to at least one litter.
Health: Kit Kat is up to date on all vaccinations and spayed.

Temperament: Kit Kat likes to play with other small dogs for a short time but would be just as happy to be by herself. Kit Kat does fine around people she does not know and although she is fine being around children, a home without children under 10 years old is preferred. Kit Kat is still skittish but loves to be brushed and will sit with you but wants to do so on her terms. Kit Kat gets very excited about her food, but does need to eat separate if there are other dogs present; we are not aware how she will react to cats and she has not been trained on a leash yet

My Ideal Home: Kit Kat has always been used to puppy pads but is working on learning to go outside, so a home where someone is present to take her out would be ideal. Kit Kat doesn’t care for a crate, she does not even care for a dog bed, but instead prefers to sleep on the floor.
Adoption Process: To adopt a Chin from JCCARE, start by filling out the application found on our website at www.japanesechinrescue.org. The application is under the Forms menu.

If you aren’t ready to adopt yet but would like to help this dog, please click on the purple SPONSOR ME button above the name. Your donation will help us to pay for the care of this dog until he/she finds a forever home.

JCCARE also maintains the lives of many senior and special needs Chin in our “Sanctuary” program. These dogs are not listed on Petfinder, as their health issues make them unlikely to ever be adopted. If you are a lover of the breed, could you please consider sponsoring one of our seniors? You can find their pictures and stories under OUR CHIN on our web site: www.japanesechinrescue.org
