Kelcee's Story
Kelcee is a young Terrier mix, born approximately 6/16/21. She went through a real rough patch when she was observed roaming an area for over 3 weeks. She would take food from a good Samaritan but would not let her catch her. That good Samaritan set a trap and brought her to safety while her home was searched for. With no one stepping forward, Kelcee joined the ranks of Mikey’s Chance Canine rescue where she was altered, vaccinated and microchipped. She is currently living in a home with multiple small dogs and gets along with everyone – including playing and wrestling with them. (Her best friend is also a foster dog, Sadie who has a similar background and will be available for adoption soon two dogs are better than one). While Kelcee is still learning her manners about living indoors (she counter surfs on occasion) we believe this may be connected to her period of homelessness and lack of food. She is potty trained, friendly, liking to sleep on the bed with her foster and will accept being petted or sitting near you. She can be quite vocal, sometimes the leader of the chorus with her foster siblings and sometimes a background singer. Kelcee will need an adopter dedicated to helping her learn that she is safe and home forever. She would do fine with a canine sibling (Like Sadie) but would also do well as your one and only. Since she was found wandering, a home with a secure fence is required and if there are children in the home, over the age of 5. Cats are unknown.
