Kanga's Story

Meet Kanga from our Winnie the Pooh litter

Kanga is the kind of pup who quietly steals your heart and then never leaves your side.

She was rescued from a local shelter alongside her five siblings after their mama went into labor. We were able to bring them into rescue at just hours old and place them with an incredible foster who kept them safe and thriving.

Mom is a Chihuahua x Pug mix and dad is unknown, so breed is our best guess. Based on her current size, we anticipate Kanga will be around 11-12 lbs full grown.

Kanga has really come out of her shell in foster care. While she still has a thoughtful, observant side, she's now incredibly affectionate and deeply attached to her people. She loves laying next to you, snuggling, and being part of whatever you're doing. She follows you everywhere and never wants to be left behind.

She's also playful, adventurous, and gets along really well with other dogs. Because of how social she is, Kanga would do best in a home with another pet to keep her company. When left home, she's been doing well staying in a room with other dogs (not crated).

Kanga is the perfect mix of sweet, loyal, and fun, and will make an incredibly devoted companion.

If you are interested in adopting, head to hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt to apply

DOB: 1/10/26
Adoption Fee: $800
