Junnie Coonhound & Cattle Dog Mix Cumming, GA

Junnie is a 1 year old, roughly 40 lb American Coonhound mix. She has made herself right at home in her foster family, and has made fast friends with the 4 other dogs in the home as well as the cat! Junnie hasn't met any tiny humans yet, but we think she would enjoy the company of children. Junnie is an extremely fast learner - she settles nicely in her crate, is potty trained, knows "sit" and "come", and is currently working on "down" and "heel". She is also very treat-motivated (she will take treats very gently from your hand), and loves food in general - the foster uses a slow feeder with Junnie. Although still a little timid, Junnie is coming out of her shell more and more every day. When she's not playing and running around, this girl loves to hang out on the couch with her person and cuddle. We think Junnie would do best with a fenced-in yard (for zoomies!) and a canine companion who isn't too pushy or dominant.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
