June's Story

June is a mellow loving dog.

She is in Foster in Tumwater, WA. Yes if you allow her to, she loves to sleep in the 'fur'niture, but she is also very content on a comfy dog bed. She really loves dog beds.

She is amazing. She is calm and easy going making her the perfect pet . Yes if you live an apartment, she will likely take some time to get used to all the noises/commotion, as she is used to a rural life, but she will get used it, all of our dogs do. If you are someone who is busy in life, understandably and do not want a demaning high energy time consuming addition she is easy and calm. She has not shown any tendencies to destroy anything and has never had any potty accidents. She does potty on the leash (hey that is a huge for a dog from Texas lol) .

Would recommend her for a mellower home, not a busy home with young children, as we haven't had her around young children.

She seems to for now prefer slower intros to new people/dogs only because she is cautious but it has always gone fine. No she is mellow so a young playful dog is not a good match for her. She is fine with smaller dogs, in fact not so cautious with them, just needs to be around dogs who wont demand she play as that is not her preference. However, over time she might want to play with another dog, right now she just prefers to just hang out (and her dog beds, OMG she LOVES dog beds, even outside on the patio!

Here is a u tube of her with a cat!

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IQym9RhsBXs

Here is another u tube of her!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyKyBRAnP6s

We have a 5 day trial you an ask about how that works.

Please apply at shaynesrescue.com

We guess with adult supervision as we ALWAYS say with children she should be fine, but no we have not kid tested her because we do not have children.

Originally saved from Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter in LUfkin Tx. We send ALL funds back to the shelter, we pay for transport and all of their medical, health certificates, spay, shots, etc. We want to make sure the volunteers who spend their own funds and/or fundraise, since shelters cannot pay for basically anything, so they can focus on the other 200 puppies/dogs there to try and save them and so we are not adding to their financial burdens!.

Shayne's Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please understand we spend all of our available resources and time saving dogs from death. We are all volunteers. Please fill out an application if you have an interest as then we can approve you to adopt any pup/dogs from us. There is no point in sending in an inquiry w/o an application, as we cannot consider someone or have them meet a dog until we have approved your application. You can ask questions in the application. We think we are most reasonable to adopt from, all we ask is you will provide a loving and supportive home as a pet guardian for the dogs entire life. If something major unforeseen occurs you will always return the dog to us, never to a shelter or anyone else. If the dog is ever to go anywhere but back to us, we do need to approve that person/family beforehand.
