Julian is an 11-month-old Elkhound/Great Pyrenees mix who weighs 65 pounds and is the product of an illicit love affair. We know exactly who his parents were, so there is no need for a DNA test. We have witnesses. Fortunately, he appears to have inherited the best of both breeds, and the result is an exceptionally nice young dog.<br/><br/>Julian is sweet, outgoing and firmly convinced that everyone he meets would like to pet him. He would hate for anyone to miss that opportunity. He is playful and social, loves other dogs and does well with people, including children ages six and up. He is simply a very pleasant dog to have around, with enough puppy left in him to keep things entertaining and enough manners that you can enjoy his company.<br/><br/>Cats are probably a pass. Julian is very interested in them and would like them to participate in his recreational activities. The cats have not expressed similar enthusiasm. A securely fenced yard is great, and a home committed to leash walking is fine too. Off-leash freedom is not on the menu.
