Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.<br/><br/>*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.<br/><br/>*Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. <br/>*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. <br/><br/>*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

Sunnyside Street Dogs's Adoption Policy
Application is received and reviewed. References will be checked. A home visit in person or on face time will be completed at a mutually convenient time. After the adoption fee paid and contract(s) signed, the dog or puppy can be picked up or transported. Transportation is included in the adoption fee if you live outside of Texas. The availability of the transport company, foster or volunteer transporter, and adopter will determine when the dog unites with their new forever person/people. Pets going on transport will have a health certificate completed by a veterinarian declaring the pet healthy for transport. Read more on transport below. If a dog/puppy goes to their forever home without being spayed or neutered, the adopter needs to sign a sterilization contract - promising they will get their dog/puppy spayed or neutered. Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. If a dog is adopted out of state, they will arrive to their destination via ground transport, unless the adopter will pick up.
