Johnny's Story

Little Johnny is a 10lb unique, adorable mutt. We are guessing he is Dachshund/Chihuahua/Cattle Dog/Boston Terrier/Pug mix? He has an adorably long body with short little legs and a squished little face. We hope his forever family does a breed test on him because he is so cool!

Johnny was dumped in a parking lot in Texas. He was so confused and terrified the first week, that the person who found him said he wouldn't eat and was completely shut down. We can't imagine what was going through his little mind. He made his way to CO to prevent him from ending up in a shelter. He has settled in here and is doing very well in his foster home. Johnny's foster has fostered almost 100 dogs for us, and said he is the sweetest, most loving, and affectionate dog she has ever had. Just like when he was dumped, he was terrified at first, but attached to his foster Momma pretty quickly. He is definately a dog who bonds quickly and needs someone who can reciprocate the immense amount of unconditional love he has to give. He gets along great with other dogs but doesn't seem interested in playing with them, yet(?). He gets along amazingly well with cats and loves cats. He would do great in a home with another cat as his best friend. He also loves to play with cats. Johnny gets along well with kiddos but since he is a nervous little guy we think older kiddos would make him most comfortable. Johnny is just truly an amazing, affectionate, loving little guy, just looking for stability and security.

If you are interested in adopting Johnny, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com
