Meet Johnny
Meet Johnny~
In SC, Johnny was found thirsty, hungry, and exhausted laying beside the road. He had small cuts and scabs on his legs. We suspect that he was possibly bumped by a car.
With that said, Johnny is a well socialized dog. He is happy and forward friendly. He is always eager to put on his leash for walks and loves interacting with people. He is great with other dogs and enjoys their company!
Quite the ham, Johnny has many faces. He has a sweet Johnny begging for his turn to get pet, and the face showing he is ready for his morning walk with his lips curled behind his teeth. At times he has a big goofy smile which makes him look like he is just begging to be adopted! Johnny loves to cradle his face in your hands, so seriously, this guy is a lover, and knows how to work the ladies!
Johnny is as close to perfect as a dog can be! We absolutely adore him! He is so sweet, so quiet, so calm, and so kind! He is such an easy keeper as he asks for nothing, and does nothing wrong!
Johnny is said to be between 2 and 3 years old. He weighs 63 lbs.

ABOUT OUR RESCUE DOGS:
All of our dogs are located in Connecticut, are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, have been given deworming medications, and have had CT State health checks, & go home with a leash, collar, & packet of medical paperwork.
BREED IDENTIFICATION:
Please understand that many rescue dogs are mixes of multiple breeds. Petfinder allows us to choose up to two breeds per dog. While the shelters and our rescue do our best in accurately identifying breeds, breed identification is not guaranteed. If there is a certain breed that you do not want, it is very important that you share this with our rescue when applying. When adopting a puppy, breed uncertainty plays a big part in the size/look of the dog as an adult. Please know that any puppy can be a wonderful dog, regardless of preconceived notions of certain breeds, but it is very important that the adopter has the dedication and patience to raise the puppy with boundaries, consistency, structure, & love. The more effort you give towards training & time you allow for exercise, your puppy will grow to be a HUGE source of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, TOTAL LOYALTY, HAPPINESS, COMFORT & COMPANIONSHIP!

We are a small rescue run by volunteers & focused on finding the right match for both our dogs & for you. If you are interested in adopting through our rescue, you first will need to complete an adoption application & be approved as a potential adopter before meeting any of our pups. No need to be intimidated by our application as it allows us to get to know you & your lifestyle. Of course, the more you can share the better! Please also note, while a fenced yard is fantastic, it is not required by our rescue, however, it may be required for a certain dog occasionally. Once adoption applicants are approved to become potential adopters, we offer private appointments where you can meet one or several dogs at the discretion of the rescue. We offer a unique & pleasant experience focused on finding the perfect match. It is extremely important to us that everyone is treated with respect & that NO ONE IS LEFT HANGING. WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU WITHIN 2 TO 3 DAYS of application submission. If there is a dog you are eager to meet, please TEXT US DIRECTLY at 203-241-2351 so that we can check the status of your application and move it forward immediately. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find your new best friend.

SOME PROVIDERS HAVE VERY STRICT POLICIES REGARDING WHICH TYPE OF DOG BREEDS ARE ALLOWED UNDER THEIR COVERAGE. STATE FARM WAS SUGGESTED TO US AS THEY DO NOT PUNISH, DROP, NOR REFUSE YOU DUE TO DOG BREED SHOULD YOU RUN INTO ISSUES WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER.
