Joey aka Jo Jo's Story
NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Meet Joey — Everybody’s Friend

Joey has never met a stranger.

Seriously. He’s apparently decided that the entire world is simply made up of friends he hasn’t introduced himself to yet.

Joey — or Jo Jo, once you’ve known him for about five minutes — is a 1–2 year old Norfolk Terrier/Westie mix weighing about 14 pounds. He’s happy, curious, affectionate and seems determined to squeeze as much fun as possible into every day.

Joey loves being where his people are. He’ll snuggle beside you on the sofa, curl up with you in bed, or happily settle into his crate for the night. He’s crate trained and house trained when kept on a regular schedule.

But don’t mistake all that cuddling for laziness. Jo Jo has things to do.
There are socks that desperately need to be used for tug-of-war. There are dogs to play with. There are mysterious creatures walking along the fence that clearly require investigation.

And then there’s the deck.
One of Joey’s favorite things is simply sitting outside, looking surprisingly thoughtful as he takes in the world around him. He watches nature. He smells the smells. He contemplates life.
And occasionally tries to chase whatever just moved along the fence.

Then there is Joey’s other great passion:
Food.
Joey has never understood why dinner should only happen once.
Second dinner? Absolutely.
Midnight snack? Excellent idea.
And should you somehow overlook the fact that his bowl isn't sufficiently full, don't worry. Joey will bring this unfortunate situation to management's attention.

He gets along well with other dogs and tends to be submissive when another dog tells him he's crossed a line. Mostly, Joey just wants everyone to get along, have some fun and perhaps share a snack.

At only 14 pounds, Joey doesn't take up much room.
But with that bubbly personality, goofy curiosity and enormous capacity for loving everyone he meets, somehow he makes himself a pretty big part of the house.

Joey doesn't need much.
A sofa to snuggle on.
A deck to supervise.
A few socks you're willing to sacrifice.

And a family who understands that second dinner is a perfectly reasonable request.

______________________________________________________________________________

DETAILS:

Joey is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
