Meet Jewel! Jewel is a young Terrier mix who weighs about 14 pounds.

Jewell is extremely sweet, although she is a timid pup. She warms up fast to people and loves to be near her foster mom even after only a few hours. A shelter environment was not the right place for this fearful girl. Jewell is nervous around the resident dog at her foster home, so we think she would be happiest either as an only dog or with a very calm well adjusted canine companion of similar size. She is very soft and when given the opportunity we think she will make a lovely lap dog and companion for the right person. Whoever brings home this little girl will be showered with love, we are sure of it!

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
