Four-month-old Jethro is a truly wonderful puppy! He has been in foster care for a few weeks now. He came in as a stray and was emaciated, with fleas and ticks. He was cleaned up and put on a good meal plan immediately, and look at him now!! He is wonderful with all people he has met, including the vet, where he was so relaxed that he fell asleep. :) There are multiple adult dogs in his foster home, and Jethro is comfortable around and respectful of all. His foster mom tells us that a couple of the dogs aren't usually thrilled having a puppy around, but Jethro is an exception! He is very attentive to humans and is picking up cues and commands. Ongoing training, including puppy classes, will be a necessity for him. He should to great with respectful children, and in light of his laid-back demeanor and age, should also do well with cats and other animals, with proper introduction.<br/><br/>Jethro is 51% Boerboel, 24% Rhodesian Ridgeback, with the rest made up of bully breeds. His primary breeds both originate from South Africa. There are similarities but also differences between the two. We are hoping to find an adopter who has knowledge of and experience with the breeds.<br/><br/>This puppy has been vetted, microchipped, and has received two of his three DHPP vaccines. He will be adopted out on a neuter contract, with neuter required by 9 months of age. Rescue will pay for the procedure, up to a specified amount.<br/><br/>Jethro is currently being fostered in the.
