Jess's Story

Meet Jess!

Jess and her sibling were found roaming behind a Costco in a suburban neighborhood before a kind Good Samaritan stepped in and brought them to safety.

Jess is about 8 months old and weighs 11.2 lbs. She is now thriving in a loving foster home with children and other dogs. She’s a happy, playful girl with plenty of puppy energy! Jess loves going for walks, playing with her canine friends, and—most of all—playing fetch with her favorite balls.

Jess is kennel trained and is still working on her leash training. She is also about 95% potty trained, although she has had a few accidents here and there, which is understandable for a puppy her age. In the mornings, Jess makes the cutest little sounds to let her foster family know she’s ready to go outside for her potty break.

When meeting new people, Jess can be a little nervous at first, but with some reassurance, she quickly warms up and bounces right back. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and playful personality shines through.

Jess does well around other dogs, but she prefers to be fed separately so she can enjoy her meals in her own space.

Sadly, Jess tested positive for heartworms at only 7 months old. She is currently undergoing treatment and doing well. Once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a forever family of her own.

Despite everything she’s already been through at such a young age, Jess hasn’t let it dim her sweet and playful spirit. She’s safe, she’s loved, and now she’s just waiting for the one thing every rescue dog deserves—a family to call her own.

Health Information: prior to finalizing adoption, Jess will be;

* Fully vetted
* Spayed
* Microchipped
* Up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention
* Comes with a health certificate prior to transport

Jess is currently in Texas and is available for transport.

Could Jess be the missing piece to your family?

Adoption Fee: $400
Out-of-State Adoption Fee: $700 (includes transport)

Apply to adopt Jess today:
Copy and paste link below into your browser to fill the application out.

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TBS/Dog
