Jaxxon Summary:
Jaxxon is a 4-month-old, 42lb male Great Pyrenees. Jaxxon is a big sweet puppy but he has not had much training/socialization. Meaning he has not had the appropriate mother/puppy discipline. He has a tendency to be mouthy and those baby teeth hurt. We are working hard at redirecting him to appropriate chew toys (I carry one on me at all times) and he is improving. He’s great on his leash and loves walks. His favorite thing is playing with his foster brother but he likes to play rough. Again his foster brother is helping teach him about appropriate play. He loves to sit next to you on the couch for loving. We have had no accidents in the house and he sleeps all night without potty breaks. He is a beautiful and sweet puppy. Someone willing to work with him will have a great dog.

A home with an active playmate that will tolerate a playful and sometimes pestering puppy. Older kids will be fine but little ones might be overwhelmed with his playfulness. An active family would be great. He loves going on walks with his 2 foster brothers and sister.
____________________________________________

Hello folks, my name is Jaxxon! I am a very handsome and lovable 4-month-old pup. I weigh around 42lbs now so am expected to get into or close to the 100lb range once I am full grown. I came to the rescue because I was a little too much puppy for my owner. She was older and I am not going to lie..I can be a handful at times. I was rescued at 4 weeks so I never got to grow up with my siblings and mom and learn directly from them. Because of that, I am a bit mouthy and will play a bit rough with the other dogs. None of it is aggression, just rowdy puppy play. I have not figured out that my sharp puppy teeth hurt. My foster home is doing a great job at showing me the ropes though and I make improvements every day!

I am an active and playful pup. I do like chasing after toys but am working on the bringing them back part. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not. I do enjoy playing with toys. I do like going for walks and believe that I would enjoy going on hikes.

I am friendly with people out in public and not scared of strangers. I am good with other dogs, but I love to play and I can play a bit rough. So, I need another playful dog in my new home who isn't afraid to correct me if I get a bit too rowdy. I am not being fostered around any cats, but my guess is I would want to initially play with them. I am good with kids but I am a bit overwhelming to kids under 5. The older kids around 9+ that I have been around have enjoyed my company much more. Remember, I am still a puppy but I like to jump, play, and can be mouthy so I would not be a good fit for a home with toddlers. I am excited when people come over and want to give them hugs. I am doing well with my training though and am learning to sit and wait for attention.

I am potty trained with a doggie door. I am also kennel trained. I can be a vocal boy and will bark when you leave me alone, when I want attention, or when I hear the other dogs bark. I do settle down after a bit but probably would not be a good fit for apartment living due to my vocalness.

I am looking for a family that is on the active side. One that has another playful dog for me to romp around with and keep teaching me valuable doggie social skills. I love people and just about everyone I meet, but due to my lack of training in the past, I am mouthier than most puppies my age. My foster is doing a great job with me, but my new family needs to be patient and able to keep redirecting me when I get mouthy. Since I am going to be a big boy, someone who is familiar with big dogs would also be a plus. Overall, I just want someone who is going to keep working with me and help me become the best boy possible! ♥

If you are interested in welcoming me to your family, you can apply to adopt me at
https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once you have submitted your application, it will be sent on to my foster family for consideration.

I am being fostered in Broken Arrow, OK.
While we do adopt out of state, you would be responsible for picking your new dog up. We do not send our dogs on transport. This way you and your new fur baby can already begin the bonding process on the way back home, and it limits the stress on the dog.

My adoption fee is $300.
That will include two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
