Jax Labrador Retriever & Corgi Mix Conover, NC

This is a stray dog found by a good samaritain who needs to find him a home. No owner has came forward. Our rescue is willing to help with getting him vaccinated and neutered.

A stray in our neighborhood in Hickory by 70 across from the Walmart Neighborhood Market, has adopted our 2 dogs and tolerates us but we cant keep him. He is white and we think he is young, we call him Jax. As far as we know he hasn't been to the vet. We think he was abused and abandaned and is skiddish. He has never shown any aggression towards us or our 2 labs. We think he might be a lab corgi mix, maybe around 50lbs. He gets agitated when he doesnt have an exit and is very good at escaping from our fenced yard. He loves to play with our 2 dogs, he loves to be dried off with a towel and to be pet after he gets over the initial hesitation of the first touch. He has no idea how to walk on a leash but doesnt mind having a collar or harness on. So far we haven't been able to get him in a car so have not been able to get him to the vet. We really dont want him to go someplace where he will be put in a cage but we are afraid he will get hit by a car and cant keep him in our yard. Thank you for your help.
