Sweet Java is "move in ready!" This sweet-hearted beauty is pretty much the perfect package. Java LOVES people including children of all ages. Her humans bring her so much joy - she readily snuggles up to the nearest lap and rolls over for a belly rub. When she's not curled up in your lap, you'll find her pouncing around the back yard playing with her toys - she loves her stuffed duck and knows it by name. She is a happy, joyful girl who always has a smile on her face to greet you. She's fine with cats, has demonstrated wonderful manners and commands, and willingly jumps in the car to go for rides. She sleeps quietly through the night, but really hasn't needed to be in a kennel as she is housetrained (but she knows the word "kennel"). No accidents for this girl! Java is extremely intelligent and picks up new things quickly. She's very treat motivated.

Java does have her quirks, one of which is small dogs. We recommend she be an only-dog or with a dog her size. While a fenced yard would make her a breeze to exercise, she does well walking on a leash and loves to go on walks! If that isn't enough to make you fall in love, Java has the silliest way of communicating. She will bring your her food dish if she needs a snack and will talk to you when she's ready to go outside. One look into Java's eyes and you will fall in love! She is truly an amazing dog and we really can't say enough great things about this beautiful girl.

Java is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, weighs 70 l;bs and was born approximately 11/21/11. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
