Janie Collie & Cattle Dog Mix Cincinnati, OH

Janie will make you smile. This girl sees every glass as half full. We are so thankful to have Janie at STAF since she had ended up at a county pound and was close to being on the list. Janie is around 2 years old and looks to be a possibly a cattle dog/collie mix. She loves people and other dogs and has one of the happiest temperaments we have ever met:)

Janie loves to play, loves to take walks with the volunteers as well as get big head rubs and belly scratches. We got some great feedback and adorable video from a volunteer after taking Janie for a walk:
“Janie is such a sweetie! She is FRIENDLY! Janie was delighted to be at the park and was perfectly behaved. She is good on a leash and loved meeting all the people (including small children) and every dog we passed. She got excited every time she saw anyone. She has the cutest freckled nose and wiggle - she wiggles a lot! Janie is a social butterfly. Janie loved sitting in the grass with her legs out behind her and just watching all the activity at the park. She is really easy to walk. She is gentle and very affectionate. She loved hiking and is a pleasure to be around. When we returned to her run, she was excited to see her friends in neighboring runs and the greeted her with happy tail wags when she returned. Attached is a video I hope you can see. It is a great example of how silly and fun this little girl is!”

Janie will be an incredible addition to one very lucky family and the perfect remedy when the day is less than perfect.

Janie will need: An active home that likes to take walks and spend time playing in the yard.
Janie would love: A fenced backyard, positive based training and maybe some time at doggie daycare.

You must be 21 years or older to adopt a dog from STAF

We require a physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog's behavior and exercise needs.

Invisible fences - Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training--we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences unless otherwise noted in a dog's online profile.

We do request vet and personal references.

At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 75 miles of Cincinnati.
