This charming gal is so adorable with that curly tail wagging crazy when she's happy! Whether it is long walks, light jogs, or just exploring the world at your side, Jane is ready to be your adventure buddy. She had a hiking day at Wawayanda and did fabulous. Loved sniffing, wading in the lake and running the trails. <br/><br/>Jane came to us in early October with her brother, Cade. These two are Shar-Pei /Rhodesian Ridgeback mixes, about 2 yrs (born 5/1/23). While Jane came out of her shell faster than her brother, once she knows you, she's a total lovebug. Belly rub enthusiast. Professional lean-in-for-affection girl. Cade was adopted and Jane has made fast friends with the other shelter dogs, Al and Jasper. It will take patience to win her over. Please consider this when you come meet her. When Cade was adopted, his new mom came to the shelter numerous times to gain his full trust. He is home with her now for a few months and they are both very happy! <br/><br/>Jane is:<br/> -Good with kids 10+ years old <br/> -Able to live with another dog (two successful meet-and-greets required)<br/> -In need of a little fitness glow-up<br/><br/>As the days go by, we are watching Jane realize she is safe. That she is cared for. That she does not need to be worried anymore. It has been beautiful to see her personality bloom playful, affectionate, and eager to connect with the volunteers she now loves.<br/><br/>If you are searching for a loyal walking partner with a soft heart and a growing confidence, Jane is ready to meet you. <br/><br/>Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our dogs. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a dog.<br/><br/>If you have a dog at home, two meet-and-greets are required. We offer a free session with our trainer, Canine Cooperative, once an adoption is finalized.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee is $150 for dogs.
