Jabo Shih Tzu Mix Thompson's Station, TN

Jabo is an appx 4-5 year old male Shih-Zhu who weighs about 12 lbs.
There are two words to describe Jabo- SIDE KICK EXTRAORDINAIRE!!
This boy has come such a long way! He is looking for a home with a soft bed, plethora of squeaky toys and a person to call his very own!

Jabo currently lives with 2 young children and does amazing with both of them. We find that he is very drawn to children and you can always find him near them (often with a toy!).
Jabo came into the rescue in Spring 2022 with severe dry eye. With consistent medication and lots of patience, Jabo's dry eye is maintained with only 2 medications twice a day. Due to the pain his eyes caused him before rescue, Jabo can be a bit slow to trust at first when it comes to eye medications and grooming. Once he gets to know you, he does very well for his medication. He does need to be sedated for grooming.

Jabo currently lives with several other dogs of various sizes and does well with all of them. He could go to a home with other dogs or solo. We do recommend slow introductions to cats, but he does fine with them after the initial introduction.
We are looking for a dog savvy home for Jabo as he does require daily eye drops.

Jabo is neutered, up to date on shots, current on preventatives and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Ashley Reum.
