Icee's Story
Icee – April’s Deb’s Dog of the Month!

Imagine starting your morning with a leash grab and a Husky who is ready to go. That’s Icee—10 months old, full of silly puppy energy, and just waiting for her person to show up.

Icee is the kind of dog who bonds fast and loves hard. Once she’s comfortable with you, she’s affectionate, playful, and genuinely fun to be around. She’s a cuddle-seeker who wants to be close to her people, and at the end of the day she’s just as happy to flop next to you on the couch as she was to head out for that morning walk.

Like any Husky, Icee has energy to burn and a brain that loves to be put to work. A good walk, a training session, and a cozy nap with her person? That’s basically her perfect day.

Training is genuinely fun with her. She’s smart, motivated, and working through skills together—a sit here, a calm moment there—is exactly the kind of thing that deepens the bond between a dog and their person. (She also has strong opinions about Yak cheese chews, just so you know.)

Icee didn’t have the kind of start every puppy deserves, so she can be a little unsure with new things at first—but she’s already come a long way. Because of that, she’ll do best in a calmer home with adults or older teens who can give her the time, space, and consistency she needs to keep building confidence. An easygoing dog companion (if you have one) could be a great match for her.

Icee has been selected as UPAWS’s April Deb’s Dog of the Month! The Deb’s Dog program is fully sponsoring her adoption fee—meaning she is a no-cost adoption—and she comes home with a brand new gift package just for her new family.

Icee is ready to be your morning walk buddy, your training partner, and your most devoted couch potato companion. She just needs someone to say yes.
