Hunny's Story
Meet Hunny! CHECK OUT DAY OUT DETAILS BELOW!

This three-year-old, 46-pound kelpie/rottie mix definitely lives up to her namesake! Hunny is the perfect balance of timid tenderness and playful pal!

Give this girl five minutes of your time and she'll be sure to win you over with her endearing nature. She may come off shy at first, but soon enough she'll be soaking up all the love you have to give. Hunny is playful pup who loves to bat her toys around and it's so much fun watching how much joy it brings her.

Hunny recently went on an outing and enjoyed some quality time with some volunteers. They went on a four mile hike at Metamora State Park where she enjoyed every moment! She rides well in the car, was good on leash, and loved exploring along the trail. She is ready to join you on all of your adventures. No outing is complete with out a special ice cream treat before heading back to the kennel.

Hunny is very food-motivated and enjoys all sorts of tasty treats. She lives for her belly rubs and enjoys her daily walks. She will thrive in an active home with lots of exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy. She already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. Hunny enjoys the company of her kennel mates and could be a great pal for another pup!

Based on our evaluation, we feel Hunny would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. She may have the potential to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.

If you think she could be the pup for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our happy Hunny!
