Hulk Boxer Mix Highland, MD

The Incredible Hulk is ready to find his forever home. Photos do not do this handsome and sweet boy justice! He is estimated to be just over 1 year old and weighs close to 100 lbs. He is truly incredible and is a survivor. Due to his loving temperament, the vet gave him a Valentine's Day birthdate- February 14th, 2020. He had a rough first year of life, but that is all behind him now. Unfortunately, he suffered injuries to his mouth, jaw, and neck from a gunshot. Despite going through traumatic and painful experiences, as well as multiple surgeries, his resilient spirit shines through. He is healthy and recovered now. He enjoys the company of all humans (big and small) and is comfortable around other dogs as well. His energy level is low-medium. He walks well on the leash with a harness, but will occasionally pull if he sees something he is interested in. He is strong! He will require training to work on basic obedience and some chewing behaviors. (He is a puppy after all!) He loves socks and will try to grab and destroy them any chance he can get. He is easily redirected with a rope toy. He is overall very well behaved in the house (even better than one of thw resident dogs!). His nose is right at the perfect height for counter surfing- but he just sniffs whatever you are cooking or eating and moves right on, doesn’t even try to take a bite! His favorite activity is sleeping on the couch, and he prefers to have a human to snuggle with. He will try to sit on your lap, but watch out, he is about 100 pounds now!
