Hershey is a 3-year-old love bug and walks great on a leash. He was surrender by a family that was moving and could not take him. In rescue, we call that moving won't take. He is a possible Wheaton Terrier / Poodle (vet suggestion) or a Border Terrier / Poodle. He is one of the cutest and nicest dogs we have had in our program. He has never lived with cats. He would do best with Allie who is listed on our site as she and he lived together for over three years in that home. The owner said they are related but we don't see that as they are very different in looks.
Update: He is housebroken and we are looking for another dog to be in the home as he loves dogs!
A female dog would be great as he came out of a home that the female dog was the leader. He is very docile and likes to play with the female dog in his foster home.
For adoption we will need the following:
Rochester, NY only home with prior experience of owning a dog. This is verified through a vet reference and we do call.
Interview on the phone,
Home visit
Children if living in the home must be at least 12 years old.
We do not adopt without a fully fenced yard. We must know if you accept children during the day to babysit as a daily work scheduled.
Homeownership is a must-have. The adoption fee is $375.00 and filling out an application is the next step on our website.
