Heather is a sweet, calm, gentle dog. She enjoys respectful children and has lived successfully with other dogs of all sizes but does not require a dog in the home.

Heather went straight to foster when she was through with Quarantine because we knew she would take a while to adjust and didn't want her to have the expectations of a new family, but the time to just chill as she needed.

She spent the first couple of days either in the corner of a room or sleeping in a walk in closet. Slowly, she began coming out for affection and snuggles. She still enjoys her alone time, but is enjoying family life a tiny bit more each day. She is ready to find a quiet, calm home of her very own!

Heather needs someone who looks at her beautiful face, says "That's my dog." and puts in the time and patience she needs to FINALLY live her best life. She probably won't ever be the type of dog who runs to greet visitors at the house....but she will absolutely steal your heart and make it incredibly happy.

The rewards of seeing a shy dog bloom are immeasurable!
