Harriet's Story
Harriet has some wonderful news to share! Shes officially healed from her surgeries and ready to find the forever family shes been waiting for!

This precious little senior Yorkie (or Yorkie mix) is estimated to be 1011 years old and has one simple wish, a warm lap, a loving heart, and a safe place to enjoy her golden years.

Harriet is a quiet, gentle soul who can be timid at first, but once she feels secure, shes happiest curled up in the lap of her favorite person. Snuggling is definitely her favorite pastime.

Harriet recently had a much needed dental, and after saying goodbye to a mouth full of rotten teeth, shes now rocking an adorable smile with just two tiny teefers left. Even better, all of her tumors were successfully removed with clear margins. Every mass was benign except for one very small mammary tumor (a tubular carcinoma), which was also completely excised with clean margins. Her blood work looks great, and shes feeling better than ever!

Harriet is crate trained and is still working on house training. Frequent potty breaks and potty pads have been helping her succeed. Shes also convinced that leashes are a very strange invention and likely never wore one before coming into rescue. Because she startles easily and may run if frightened, shell need a securely fenced yard or an exercise pen for outdoor potty breaks.

If your idea of happiness is sharing the couch with a tiny companion who asks for very little besides love, Harriet may be your perfect match. Shes survived a lot, shes healed beautifully, and now shes ready for the chapter she deserves most, a forever home where shell be cherished every single day.

Sweet Harriet has waited long enough. Could your lap be the one shes been dreaming about

Harriet is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. She has also had bloodwork and a dental. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet Harriet, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities.
