Hamilton's Story
Meet Hamilton, a four-year-old Rottie/Kelpie mix weighing 65 pounds.

Hamilton is a compact guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. He was found alongside two small dogs and has done well with other pups, showing off his friendly, easygoing personality.

When Hamilton first came to us, he was dealing with painful, bloody ears from untreated ear mites. Thankfully, he’s been treated and is feeling so much better—and it shows! Now that he’s comfortable again, he’s ready to focus on what really matters: finding his forever home.

Hamilton is incredibly sweet and well-mannered. He listens well, enjoys guidance, and already knows the command "sit." He’s also very treat motivated, which makes continued training fun and rewarding. He absolutely loves going for walks, happily following his nose and taking in all the exciting scents along the way. And when it’s time to relax? Get ready for some amazing sploots and the occasional joyful roll in the grass!

With his gentle nature, happy spirit, and resilient heart, Hamilton is ready to leave his past behind and start a new chapter filled with love and adventure. If you’re looking for a compact, cheerful companion to share walks, laughs, and cozy moments, Hamilton might just be your perfect match.

This pet is available for adoption on 2/17/2026 at 5:05 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
