Meet Halo
This beautiful girl is Halo!
Halo is an approximately 16-month old female mixed breed girl who weighs around 40 lbs.
Halo was in a sad situation when she was rescued. Sitting in a small rural outdoor shelter, made of chicken wire/metal, dirt floor, with a slab of tin on the roof for protection. The only protection from the rain and cold blowing through the chicken wire were metal drums with the end taken off and laid on their sides. With no public adoptions done there, her only hope was rescue.
Luckily for Halo, rescue did get her just days before euthanization. What a loss it would have been to not have this girl in the world!
Halo is so good-natured and affectionate. She doesn't know a stranger. She plays well with other playful dogs. Halo is a little lacking in manners, but she is smart and will catch on quickly with positive correction. She would love a home where she is included in activities and given playtime and people time every day!
Halo is doing surprising well on a leash for a dog that has never been on one before! She is crate-trained and doing excellent on her house-training. Has been fine with the children she has met at outreaches. She is scared of cats.
Halo is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
