Gypsy Rough Collie Mix Bettendorf, IA

Gypsy is a beautiful 12 year old Collie mix. This girl lived her whole life with one family, until now. Unfortunately there was illness in the family and they had to re-home all of their dogs.

This girl is a bit older but man, is she a love! The softest face and brown eyes to melt your heart. She does well getting around still but does have some arthritis which is managed with a supplement and medication. She still does a few stairs just fine, she'll even try to jump in the car! Key word being try, she'll need a butt boost.

Gypsy was just taken to the vet and they said she looks great for being 12! Her teeth seem well almost like she'd had a dental at one point. Heart and lungs sound good, other than needing to lose about 10 pounds, she's a very healthy girl! She was shaved before she came to us due to some matting so she will need someone ready for grooming.

Gypsy has been around other dogs and cats and doesn't have any problem. We would prefer she go to a home with another older dog or one with no interest in playing, she doesn't like it when they get in her face too much. Small children are a bit too much for Gypsy in her old age.

Overall this healthy, older gal is looking for a relatively calm home to live out her golden years in!

Gypsy's adoption fee is $125 and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad City Area.
