Guinness

Meet Guinness! With those beautiful blue eyes, one-of-a-kind ears and an irresistible bulldog grin, Guinness is pretty hard to overlook! Guinness is an approximately 3-year-old, 48-pound Bulldog mix with a sturdy, athletic build and a face absolutely loaded with personality. His handsome blue-gray, white and tan coat is striking, but spend a little time with him and you'll quickly discover that his sweet nature is even better than his good looks.

And don't let that big bulldog presence fool you-Guinness is calmer than you might expect. Volunteers consistently describe him as super sweet and affectionate, and he's perfectly happy soaking up attention from his people. Give him some scratches and he'll lean right in and enjoy every second. But he definitely has a goofy side, too. His treat-catching skills could use a little work-more than one treat has bounced right off that handsome nose! Guinness doesn't seem to mind. Practice makes perfect, right? Guinness also surprised us by discovering that the doggie pool is a pretty great place to be! He was happy to wade right in and cool off and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He's shown us some nice manners, too. Guinness does well on leash and recently shared a car ride to the vet with another dog, Hank. The two got along just fine. Guinness did voice a few opinions along the way-perhaps he had an inkling about where that car was headed!-but otherwise handled the outing well.

At 3 years old, Guinness is past the puppy stage but still young enough for plenty of fun and adventures. He's sweet, affectionate, entertaining and, as one volunteer put it, "going to make a great, fun companion." Could that companion be you? Apply at caninecollective.org.
