Groot's Story
Meet Groot, or "Grootius Maximus," a 3-year-old male 100lb+ Akita! Groot is a large working breed dog who is also a gentle giant. True to his breed, Groot can be nervous if people approach him too quickly and he thrives with people who take their time to get to know his personality. Groot is bouncy and energetic with many people he has met during his time at CCHS and is a Doggie Day Out candidate, meaning he's taken field trips to local parks with volunteers!

Due to Groot's breed, you must submit an application prior to meeting him. In addition, all family members that live in the home are required to meet with Groot before adopting him. Groot would benefit from a home that is familiar with the breed and can advocate for him meeting new people.
Give us a call and we'd love to tell you more about him!
