Greta's Story
DOB: 12/11/25 Current Weight(as of 4/22/26): over 39.20 lbs.
Adoption Fee: $275 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness.
Greta is beautiful in person with her soft coat of fur!!
Greta is the most shy of all 4 siblings! With a sweet, gentle personality she needs reassurance from her humans. She is being fostered with the last of her 3 siblings. More one on one with her would probably help her be less timid. She loves to be petted and babied . She has the calmer, playful temperament of the Great Pyrenees breed. The breed are usually all this way. When approaching her she will lift her paw to say hello. Greta loves her squeaky toys, rope and Nyla bones. So far the soft squeaky toys have been her favorite. When meeting new dogs she has been really excited to play and let's them be boss.
She has been crated before and there weren't any issues. We never know how they might be in a new home. We have started housebreaking all 4 of the girls by taking them outside every 3 to 4 hours. They seem to understand and progress is ongoing. Great will take more patience, love and time to conquer this skill. We have taken her for walks with a harness on at or Saturday Pet adoption events. She normally likes to go for walks and to explore new places and people. Greta will make a wonderful companion to any family who wants a extra large dog when fully grown. Her foster mom has a Great Pyrenees and says he is a big teddy bear.
The “G” puppies are a litter of seven sweet sisters, born on December 11, 2025. These girls are Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Shepherd mixes, which means they’re expected to grow into very large dogs with gentle hearts and loyal personalities.
All of the puppies are inside dogs and have been raised with love and care. They are sweet-natured, playful, and affectionate, enjoying both puppy playtime and human attention. True to their guardian-breed roots, they are curious and confident, with a natural tendency to explore.
Because Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherds are known for roaming, we are looking for homes with a secure, fenced yard to keep these sweet girls safe and happy. They will thrive with families who understand large breeds and are committed to providing structure, training, and plenty of love as they grow.
If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, loving companion who will grow into a magnificent dog, one of the “G” puppies may be the perfect fit for your family.
Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption.
All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.
