Graham's Story

Graham is a 7.5-month-old Plott Hound / Great Pyrenees mix weighing around 68.5 pounds — and he is still very much growing into both his body and his brain.

Recently returned through no fault of his own, Graham is back with us looking for a home better suited for a young, active working-breed mix. Despite the transition, he has remained his sweet, affectionate self, though understandably a little more cautious while settling back in.

Graham is an incredibly social dog who genuinely enjoys being around people and other animals. Dogs, cats, kids — he wants to meet everyone. He thrives on interaction, activity, and being included in daily life.

Like any large-breed adolescent puppy, Graham needs more than just a quick walk and a crate. He will require physical exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and continued training to help him grow into the amazing adult dog he is capable of becoming. A home familiar with large working or guardian-type breeds would be especially beneficial for him.

Graham would likely do very well with another playful dog companion and a family prepared for all the chaos, energy, curiosity, and affection that come along with a giant puppy brain.

Graham is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and on monthly preventatives.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
