Meet Gracie

Hello! I am Gracie, also known as "Mama"! I am the sweetest, funniest, cutest little girl, weighing in at about 53 pounds! I'm a lap dog, and I looooooooove lots of cuddles and lovin's! I will always be by your side if you choose to be by mine. If you let me, I'll share your pillows and your heart!

I hail from Mississippi. I was brought to Massachusetts with my TEN puppies back in July. Life was ruff before I met my foster mom. I was nothing but skin and bones, I had fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, worms... and I had to feed those babies. Despite all of my sorrow, with my foster mom's love and support, I survived and now, I thrive! She and I want to find my forever home, so that there can be the happiest ending to my Cinderella story. Won't you help a girl out?

Some things about me... I snore while I sleep and it's pretty darn irresistible! I love to kiss and give the best hugs! Belly rubs are the best! I love bath time because it means I get extra rubs and massages!

Sometimes, if I'm being protective of mom or my house, I get loud to let other dogs I'm not messing around! I love my two doggy sisters at my foster mom's house, but other dogs take me a while to get used to. I could go to a home with another dog, as long as he or she is rather submissive, because I am a diva.

I really like cats and want to meet them all, so I get right in their face. Some kitties don't mind, but others definitely do! While I would never hurt a kitty, I do go right up to them to say hello, so if you have a kitty, you might want to have a long talk with them before inviting me over. If they object to new doggy friends, perhaps I'm not the one for you.

I'm the biggest goofball and running zoomies is my favorite activity! I need a big yard to sniff and run, run, run in!

I know a few basic commands, am potty trained and am the best behaved baby- My foster mom leaves me out of the crate, I'm such a good pupper!

Mom says "Only the best" for her baby girl- that's me! Will you be my happily ever after?

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
