Gordie's Story
Meet Gordie! Gordie is a 61⁄2-month-old Terrier mix puppy who is full of personality and potential. According to his foster dad, Gordie is a bright little guy who is quickly picking up on home-life routines and learning what it means to be part of a household. Like many young puppies, Gordie’s housetraining is still a work in progress. While he’s learning fast, he’s still figuring out how to clearly signal when he needs to go outside. With consistency, patience, and a predictable schedule, this smart pup will continue to improve. Gordie loves furniture (a true couch connoisseur!) and does a great job entertaining himself with toys. He’s a fun, social puppy who enjoys meeting grownups while out and about in the neighborhood—and he has an uncanny ability to spot fellow "dog people" in any crowd. He is dog social and has happily coexisted in his foster home with two cats. Gordie would do best in a home with children ages 9 and older, as he can still be a bit unsure around fast or sudden movements. If you’re interested in learning more about Gordie or scheduling a meet and greet, please email the foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.gov. Please note that Gordie is not available for same day meet and greets.
