Goose's Story

Meet Goose (ID # 19323)

Gooses story didn't begin the way any dogs should. He was found tied to a pole and left alone, frightened and overwhelmed by everything around him. But beneath that nervous exterior was a sweet, incredibly resilient young boy just waiting for someone to give him the time and space to feel safe.

And look at him now.

Goose is a stunning boy with the silkiest coat and gorgeous, warm ombré markings. As the chaos around him has settled, so has Goose—and he has absolutely blossomed. Outside his kennel, his personality shines. He is playful, affectionate, engaging, and wonderfully goofy. He has a way of making you laugh and bringing a little more joy to every moment.

Goose is still a young pup at heart at just 1 year of age, full of excitement and enthusiasm. He's smart and eager to learn, and he would thrive with positive-reinforcement training to help him build his leash skills and learn all the things a good boy needs to know.

His ideal home will offer structure, routine, patience, and clear boundaries. A home with a large, secure yard would be wonderful for this big, energetic boy—he doesn't quite realize how big he is yet!

Goose may also enjoy having a playful canine companion. Because he is still learning how to read other dogs signals, playtime with another dog will need to be supervised while he learns when his playmate has had enough. With guidance, patience, and continued social learning, we believe Goose has so much potential.

Most of all, Goose needs someone who will see beyond the scared dog who first arrived at the shelter and recognize the silly, loving, playful boy he is becoming.

He has already come so far. Now he's looking for the person who will help him take the next step—and give him the forever home he deserves.

Adopt Goose, and you might just be bringing home your daily dose of laughter, love, and pure goofy joy.

Please complete an adoption request:

https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions

Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only.
