Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, which is reviewed by our team. We conduct a veterinary reference check and a phone interview to discuss the adopter’s experience, lifestyle, and expectations. We also require a virtual home check by video to ensure the home is safe and appropriate for the pet. If the applicant rents their home, we require a copy of the lease or written landlord approval showing that pets are permitted. Our goal is to place each animal in the best possible forever home.
