Our Mission
Mama Rhea Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving homeless, abandoned, surrendered, and at-risk animals by providing compassionate care, medical treatment, and safe foster homes until they find loving forever families. We are committed to rescuing pets from overcrowded shelters, owner surrenders, and breeding facilities, while promoting responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter, and lifelong animal welfare.
Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, which is reviewed by our team. We conduct a veterinary reference check and a phone interview to discuss the adopter’s experience, lifestyle, and expectations. We also require a virtual home check by video to ensure the home is safe and appropriate for the pet. If the applicant rents their home, we require a copy of the lease or written landlord approval showing that pets are permitted. Our goal is to place each animal in the best possible forever home.
