Gladys's Story
A year ago, 10 (or maybe 11) puppies were born and claimed as an "accidental litter". AGPR was asked in December 2024 to please, please help...the owners could not afford to feed and care for the litter. And the pups were fighting with each other. They had 10 left when they called and 8 left when we got back to them. We agreed to take 5 or 6 of the pups, even though we were overcapacity and had very little space to squeeze them in. They arrived in the back of a truck a few days later.

Hi, I'm Gladys, the very, very pretty sister of Kringle and Cole. I'm one of the three remaining pups at AGPR anxiously awaiting our forever home. The other two are Cole (bro) and Gladys (sis), We celebrated our 1st birthday August 9th. My favorite volunteer loves me and my "racoon eyes"! Like my brothers, I am looking for love!

Compared to my brothers, I'm not a bad leash walker. I think it is because "they" say that girls mature a bit faster. I'm not sure how true that is, but I'm trying hard.

All three of us have shorter fur due to their mix of Pyr and Anatolian Shephard. And all three of us are spayed/neutered and ready to go home!

I need a securely fenced yard so I can do zoomies. I also request a bunch of toys...I LOVE to amuse myself by tossing the toys around and rolling around with them. I crack up with the volunteers with my antics!

My birthday wish was to find a loving forever home soon! I hope that wish comes true!!!

Being a year old gives me plenty of excuses for my antics. I like to jump up and we are working on that. For that reason, it might be best that if there are kids in the family, they are a bit older so I don't knock them over in my enthusiasm. My leash walking can use some improvement but hey, I'm only a year-ish old! I'm told I am a sweet boy who needs some boundaries...just like a young child. I'm hoping my birthday wish for a loving family comes true soon!

All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone!

Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
