Ginger Bee Pit Bull Terrier & Shar-Pei Mix Cincinnati, OH

NEW ARRIVAL! This wrinkly faced pittie mix was found tied up in an abandoned home, underweight and flea-ridden. Currently recovering from spay surgery in the home of one of our volunteers, Ginger is so grateful for regular meals, a warm bed and--most of all--the company of humans which she so adores.

A well-rounded girl, Ginger's perfect date would include chasing ball for 20 minutes, snuggling for 10 minutes, and repeating. Just one year old and a highly-snugglable 36 pounds, Ginger Bee is an enthusiastic lap dog and loves to watch football. She also has a wild side and will play hard with another dog. She loves new people, but needs to work on *not* jumping up to greet them. She is crate-trained, a bit of a puller on leash, and very VERY interested in SQUIRRELS!!!

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
