MEET GINGER

Our chestunut-colored sweetheart, Ginger, will absolutely steal your heart the second you meet her! Her precious, smiling face and her eagerness to give you every ounce of love she possesses are just a couple of the reasons you won’t be able to help but fall in love with her!

Ginger is an approximately 4-year-old medium sized Labrador Retriever / Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier mix that weighs approximately 56 pounds. Her smooth reddish caramel colored coat is broken up by the white markings on her face and body. She has a thin strip of white between her beautiful brown eyes, which continues downward to surround her nose. Her chest and underside are completely white, and she also has white on each of her four paws, like she went splashing through a paint puddle. Her cute little nose is a mottled mix of brown and pink, but it’s her adorable grin and smiling eyes that really grab your attention.

Pulled from our local animal shelter where she had been held as a stray for many weeks that no one came to claim, Ginger is an energetic, friendly, playful, great on a leash, and an unbelievably sweet girl! She has a happy-go-lucky, easy-going nature and is a serial kisser! She loves being in the yard and running around, and she loves playing with other dogs, provided they are laidback and calm, gentle play pals like she is…she’s not a fan of aggressive, in-your-face playing by other dogs. She is interested in toys (although she’s sometimes not sure what exactly to do with them) and most of all, Ginger absolutely loves being around people. This angel just wants attention from as many people as she can get – she’s the epitome of a lovebug! Ginger is the sweetest girl, and she really just wants to be loved and have a family that she can lavish her affection on.

Ginger will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all, but she is not to be a strictly outside dog – she is too social to be left alone and she wants to be with her people. Ginger should make a wonderful family pet and should be great with children over the age of 10 (she might accidently bump into a younger, smaller child due to her size and joyful jumping). We have started on her crate training, and Ginger is up to date on her vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and has been spayed. She is on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Some dogs you meet, you have an immediate, heart-stirring connection with. Ginger is one of those dogs. She deserves the best forever home that can be found for her.
