Garrett-All smiles's Story

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Meet Garrett
Look at that smile! Garrett is one of those little dogs who just seems happy to be here.

He's an 8-month-old Border Terrier/Miniature Schnauzer mix who weighs just 9.1 pounds. He may have a little growing left to do, but not much—we expect him to be right around 10 pounds fully grown. He will also be neutered soon.

Garrett and his siblings had a rough start. Their family was deported and the puppies were left behind, with a neighbor doing what they could to look after them. We don’t know anything about Mom or Dad, so Garrett's story before coming to rescue has a few blank pages. What we do know is the little dog in front of us now.

He's sweet, quiet and affectionate, with no aggression. He loves his stuffies, enjoys getting outside to run around and get the zoomies out, and then settles down nicely when he comes back inside. He's a snuggler, too, and very happy just being close to her people.

Garrett is working on house training, does well with potty pads and is proving to be a smart little boy who catches on quickly.

Mostly, Garrett just needs what every dog deserves—a family that isn’t going anywhere.

He's had enough uncertainty for one little lifetime. Now she needs someone who will look at that ridiculous happy face every day and say, “You’re home.”

_________________________________________________________________________________

Garrett will soon be spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Please complete the application on this link:

https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8

Or email Sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
