Gage's Story

Gage is a stunning young merle Catahoula Leopard Dog, possibly mixed with Australian Shepherd, with a one-of-a-kind look that is sure to catch your eye. But as beautiful as he is, watching his personality blossom may be the best thing about him.

Gage is around 50lbs and is 18 months old. He was surrendered to our shelter partners in Texas, along with his brother Grady, when their elderly owner could no longer keep up with two young, active dogs. When he first arrived, Gage was understandably shy and unsure of his new surroundings. But with a little time, patience, and reassurance, this sweet boy began to realize that new people, new experiences, and new adventures can actually be pretty exciting!

Today, Gage is coming out of his shell more and more. He is eager to explore, enjoys meeting new people, and walks well on a leash. He also loves playing with his canine friends and could happily share his home with another dog, although he would be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as an only dog, too.

Gage is,,,
Dog friendly & playful
Walks well on leash
Sweet, affectionate & gaining confidence every day
Curious and ready to explore the world
Neutered, fully vaccinated & heartworm negative

It has been such a joy watching Gage gain confidence as he learns that he is safe and loved. With the security of a family of his own, we have no doubt this beautiful boy will continue to blossom into an incredible companion.

Gage is ready to leave his uncertain days behind and discover just how wonderful life can be.

If you’re looking for a handsome, playful and affectionate companion who just needs someone to believe in him, Gage may be the perfect match.

Apply to Adopt Gage:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmGT1IJumWVdiv9sWf06pVnyjnkqqgp5VjuCJXAg4TicTd7A/viewform
