Meet Freddie!<br/><br/>This adorable tiny schnauzer wannabe was surrendered with another dog due to housing issues. Hes about 2-3 years old and 10lbs full grown, said to be some kind of rat terrier mix but definitely has the schnauzerly eyes of love. Hes a very timid little guy, panics and doesnt know what to do on a leash or outside and we suspect the dogs were just being kept crated and hidden in the apartment and never socialized or taken outside. He greets other dogs happily but prefers his own eating space, and would like a doggie sister to live with to help boost his confidence. Housebreaking will likely take some patience- hes not a move right in like hes always lived there type of dog and expect he will need some time and work to get comfortable, but we can see theres a sweet dog behind the cowering and fear. <br/><br/>Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Freddie in Northern NJ<br/><br/>Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
