A stray from Tennessee, Franklin lived in a culvert and soy bean field. But he would rather leave the streets behind and cozy up with you to watch reality TV!

This gentle giant is the kind of boy who is destined for greatness. He's
- Quick to trust and loves pets from strangers and kids alike
- Easygoing with a calm energy who's eager to please (with the right treats!)
- A true couch potato with a big heart!
- Potty trained, walks perfectly on a leash, and is great in a car and crate. Road trips are in your future!
- Not interested in squirrels and hasn't met cats but we think he'd be okay with them
- Not really interested in toys. He just wants you to pet his big head!
- An adorable shadow who'll go wherever you go
- Living the dream when he's outside and lying in the warm grass

What more could you ask for? And yes! He even knows how to fold origami! He would be a great dog for a family with kids or a single person, and would be just as good a solo dog as he would with some dog siblings. Franklin is a friend to all!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Franklin, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
