Fish's Story

Meet Fish!

Fish was found as a stray with another dog and came in with a serious injury to his right eye. Thanks to our vet and medical team, he was able to have entropion surgery that saved both his eye and his vision. He's almost fully recovered now and very ready to move on to the good part of his story.

At 2 years old and 63 lbs, Fish is a happy, goofy guy who clearly enjoys life. He loves treats, knows "sit," and is always down to learn more (especially if snacks are involved). In the yard, he's known for his signature move...full-on galloping and little skip-hops that make it hard not to laugh.

He can be strong on leash but is manageable, and he's been eager to make friends, often resting his head between the fence to check out other dogs with big, wiggly tail wags.

Fish is just one of those dogs that keeps things fun without trying too hard. A little goofy, very sweet, and more than ready for a fresh start.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
