Everest's Story

Everest is looking for a very special someone to take a chance on her! She has been in the shelter for over 200 days and hasn't met her person yet.

It's hard to be a big dog (about 90lbs) with big feelings in the shelter, and the truth of the matter is that if you come in and walk by Everest's habitat here at the shelter, she may not leave the best first impression. Everest sometimes worries about strangers, so she might greet visitors who peek in her windows with a big loud bark. But once out of her room, Everest will show you what a fun loving and affectionate dog she is! She is a staff favorite who loves to play with her favorite people and her favorite dog friends! She has been a great "office foster," keeping staff company while they work!

Everest is looking for a quiet, low traffic home with active adopters who are ready to spend time helping her settle into her new environment, expanding her world slowly with lots of patience and love. She won't do well in a home with children or lots of foot traffic, but she could make a great companion for the right dog already in the home.

So if you are ready to open your heart to this gorgeous, sensitive sweetie, please give us a call!! We know the right person will be rewarded with a mountain of love! You can inquire about Everest at our Santa Rosa location - call 707.542.0882 to chat with our adoptions team!
Primary Color: Tan Weight: 41.5kg Age: 2yrs 5mths 1wks Animal has been Spayed
